Pitbull has been getting a lot more recognition as a more electro-Miami rapper these days, and now he’s got a great gig going as the artist for Will Smith’s third installment of the “Men In Black” series. The spanglish rapper hops onto “Back In Time” for the “Men In Black III” soundtrack, and it’s the first time that Will Smith hasn’t made his own music for the blockbuster hit.
‘Mr. Worldwide’ brings a bit of guitar based sample to Micky and Sylvia’s 1950s hit, “Love is Strange” background to the song. On top of it all, it’s still got the catchy dance groove– and of course he raps about rocking black suits and keeps things as kid and family friendly as he can with lines like “I don’t give a number 2.”
The 43 year old actor Smith shared his lyrical capabilities for the first movie’s outing in 1997 with the self titled “Men In Black,” and followed it up with “Black Suits Comin’ (Nod Ya Head)” for the second film’s release a decade ago in 2002. Though he was rumored to be putting some new music out in the near future– it’s interesting to see that his third generation of MIB movies wouldn’t follow suite.
