Paris Hilton Bans Aussie TV Station After Fame Question

She used to be one of Hollywood's premiere "it" girls, but for the past few years the spotlight hasn't been shining on Paris Hilton as brightly as it had before.

As many people know, the former "Simple Life" star used to be good friends with Kim Kardashian, who has since become the overwhelming paparazzi favorite and, judging by a new interview with an Australian TV station on Saturday (March 31), the question regarding her fame is not going over so well.

The heiress to the Hilton Hotels fortune was in Sydney, Australia for the opening of Marquee nightclub, during which time she participated in an interview with Channel 7 news reporter Edwina Bartholomew, who asked the question, "What about when you're not famous anymore? What are you going to do?"

At the time, Paris didn't seem the least bit taken back by the question, answering, "When I have family I just want to be able to have children and have a normal life and just be with my kids."

However, after the interview was complete, the 31 year-old's camp was so offended by the question that they banned Channel 7 from any future interviews.

Shortly after the on-air blunder, reporter Edwina Bartholomew took her Twitter page explaining that the starlet had contacted her via email and was apparently not offended by the interview, tweeting, "Bizarro world. @ParisHilton just emailed me to say she wasn't offended and she thought the @sunriseon7 I/v went well. PR overreacted!"

Whether or not the Aussie station will get a future visit from Miss Hilton is unknown, but it seems as if Paris still had a great time Down Under at the new hotspot, as she messaged, "Another great night at Sydney's hottest new night club @MarqueeSydney! Time for bed. Sweet dreams everyone. xo," later adding, "Life becomes so much better when you decide not to care. Just live for the moment & don't let the drama bring you down."
