Kanye West surprised London tourists by joining a Jack the Ripper tour last week.
The rapper-turned-designer joined the group for the £15 trip around the UK capital's East End area - which retraces the footsteps of the notorious and still unidentified serial killer from the late 1800s - and told fellow tourists he was looking for inspiration for his clothing range.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "He told the other daytrippers he is immersing himself in the history of the East End to get inspiration for his fashion range."
After the tour, Kanye then returned to his studio in Clerkenwell to work on the creations for his DW label.
Kanye decided to relocate to the UK in January in order to improve his reputation as a designer and so he could be close to the lecturers and students at the acclaimed Central Saint Martins College (of Art and Design).
A source previously said: "He went home for the holidays but was proclaiming that he is now based in the capital and would return in early January.
"He's close to the lecturers and students at the Central Saint Martins College (of Art and Design) and being in London means he can stop by for advice any time."
Kanye launched his clothing line in October and named it after his late mother Donda - who passed away in November 2007 following complications from cosmetic surgery.
