Taylor Swift voices a role in the new animated feature, “The Lorax,” and says “Acting is something I’ve been fascinated by my entire life.”
But has it though? If you guys remember, Taylor Swift played a girl in the 2010 romantic comedy, “Valentine’s Day.” It was…good? Honestly, I can’t remember anything about her performance because it was so short, but if T-Swift wants to act, then dammit, let the girl have a one episode cameo on a CW Show!
T-Swift says she’d be acting way more if she wasn’t so busy touring, and singing, and writing songs about being in love, and then actually being in love…
“I would want to have the time, the ability and the love for something, the love for a character to where I could really make that commitment to it,” says Swift.
Swift can be heard in “The Lorax”, which is actually a pretty star-studded cast consisting of Zac Efron, Betty White, Danny DeVito and Ed Helms, so Taylor landed a pretty awesome role acting amongst those big names.
But Taylor doesn’t want you to dismiss her work in the flick as “not-acting,” she says voice-over work is very involved.
“What people don’t think about with character acting in the voice-over form is you’re making a lot of sounds,” says Swift, “It’s very different from when you’re singing songs that you wrote. With this, you’re sitting there in a booth by yourself having conversations with no one.”
