Britney Spears Channels Cleopatra for Elizabeth Arden

Britney Spears seemed to go back in time as she did her best impression of the Queen of the Nile.

The “Toxic” singer posed a picture from her perfume photo shoot to her Facebook page along with the

caption, "Channeling my inner Cleopatra today @ Elizabeth Arden Fantasy Twist shoot. Fragrance is out in Sept. 1st look on Path.”

Spears is also featured on a new promotional poster for “The X Factor” along with her fellow female judge Demi Lovato.

Meanwhile, Khloe Kardashian is said to be in the running as the show’s new host. She told press, “I'm a big fan of The X Factor. I've always wanted to do hosting or talk show hosting, so it's definitely something that I would love to do and would be honoured to do.”

“To be on such a huge show like that with those judges, I would have so much fun doing that. I love Simon (Cowell). I think he's amazing. I love personalities like that because I'm someone who is very straightforward and I tell it like it is. That's what he's doing. He just doesn't want to blow smoke up people's a**es.”

Britney Spears looked remarkable while out in Maui, Hawaii.

Joined by her fiance Jason Trawick, the “Toxic” superstar gave everyone a look at her bangin’ body as she prepared for a swim.

Prior to her outing at her luxurious Island State digs, Britney tweeted, “Getting ready for some pool time! Having a blast xxoo.”

Earlier in the week, Spears treated her Twitter followers to a picture of herself in a swimsuit and her boys Sean Preston and Jayden James along with Trawick.

On the fast track to reclaim her career, a stage-ready Jamie Lynn Spears delivered an intimate set at the 3rd and Lindsley Bar & Grill in Nashville, Tennessee.

In a jean jacket and a tiny black dress, the former "Zoey 101" star took the stage to sing her new song titled "I Look Up To You," and it's easy to notice the song may be about her big sis, Britney Spears.

Once on stage, Jamie told the audience, “I’m so happy to have all of you here, thank you for coming out tonight,” adding, "This next song is called "I Look Up To You", um, you can imagine who I wrote it about."

After the performance, the 21-year-old mother of one tweeted, “Thanks to everyone who came out tonight!! Sooo very appreciated!!"

Simon Cowell would “100 per cent” sign Britney Spears to US ‘X Factor’.

The ‘Toxic’ singer has reportedly been approached to take on a judging role on the pop star search show

for a reported $15 million per year and although Simon refused to confirm if she has been approached, he admitted she would be his top choice for the job.

Simon told Kiis FM’s Ryan Seacrest: "If it was my decision [to sign Britney, I'd do it] 100 per cent — if we could get her.

"We'll find out very soon … if we've spoke to her.

"There are a lot of names that have been bandied around. We've got to keep quiet about it … we're very, very, close -- I think were very close."

One of the sticking points in negotiations between Britney and Simon has previously been cited as the number of series she would have to commit to.

A source has said: "Money is not an issue for the show. As of now, they are looking to pay her $12-15 million for the first season, with a drastic price hike for a second year based on ratings performance.

"Simon Cowell wants at least a two-year commitment and Britney wants an out clause if she doesn't want to continue after one year of service."

Simon has been particularly complimentary about the star in recent weeks, praising Britney - who has sons Sean Preston, six, and Jayden James, five, with ex-husband Kevin Federline - for her "resilience" in juggling her music and family life.

He said: "I'm fascinated by her. The fact that she's one of the most talked about - not just pop stars - but people in the world today, means that you've got this star power.

"This girl has got resilience. I would think that if she's managed to sustain a family, a career, which is tough, ['X Factor' would be] a walk in the park."

Britney Spears has rejected a $10 million offer to judge the next season of “The X Factor,” TheWrap has learned.

So the question is: How much is Fox going to have to pony up? Try $20 million.

Reports this week that the pop star was considering a $10 million offer to judge next fall’s seasons of “The X Factor” are out of date, according to a knowledgeable individual in Spears’ camp.

The singer rejected that offer three weeks ago and is instead thinking about an offer to become a resident performer at a Las Vegas hotel in the fall, a la Celine Dion.

So here comes a game of chicken. Fox desperately needs a big name to announce on the judge’s panel of Simon Cowell’s show, now that NBC’s hit show “The Voice” will be competing with them in the fall.

Spears’ camp wants $20 million. (EvenI think that’s ridiculous and Fox won’t pay that.)

But the reality is it’s becoming an arms race for singing talent being paid to sit behind tables and… talk.

NBC has put its money where its mouth is, paying Christina Aguilera upward of $10 million to come back and judge the new season of “The Voice.” They’ve given handsome paychecks, if not as much, to the other judges as well.

What Fox has shelled out for the “X Factor” judges pales in comparison. Paula Abdul was paid $2.5 million for the last season, according to another knowledgeable insider, and she was announced at the 11th hour.

She was also fired, as were judge Nicole Scherzinger and host Steve Jones.

“X Factor” is already recording its audition phase, but won’t need the judges until the end of May.

Fox wouldn't comment. Spears' camp wouldn't comment. Simon Cowell's camp wouldn't comment.

But what the network wants is a big piece of news to present to advertisers at their upfront sales presentations on May 14.

Long after her "Mickey Mouse Club" days, is Britney Spears finally headed back to TV? The pop superstar is reportedly nearing a deal to become a new judge on Simon Cowell's "The X Factor," The Hollywood Reporter revealed.

According to a THR inside source, Spears' fiance Jason Trawick is negotiating the final contract, which could be signed as soon as next week.

In January, "The X Factor" axed judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger and host Steve Jones from the Fox singing competition series.

If Spears joins Cowell and the only other remaining judge, LA Reid at the judges' table, that leaves one more seat to fill for Season 2 of the struggling singing competition. LeAnn Rimes is reportedly in talks to judge "The X Factor," while Janet Jackson has officially declined her participation in the show.

Scherzinger recently told "Access Hollywood" that she was completely committed to the show during Season 1. "Well, all I know is that I gave 110 percent to that show," she said. "I know everybody's talking about it. They're saying good, bad, they love me or hate me, but the one thing you can't say is that I didn't give it my all."

Scherzinger was originally tapped to co-host the series alongside Jones. Bwhen British singer Cheryl Cole was abruptly fired as a judge, Scherzinger took her place at the table, and Jones was then left as the lone host of "The X Factor."

"I loved being a part of my ‘X Factor’ family," Scherzinger said. "Nothing could obviously prepare me for everything I had to go through, all the emotions and stuff, but I have no regrets."

Though no official replacements have been named, that didn't stop HuffPost TV from naming a few people we think would do well on the show in February, Britney Spears included.

Britney Spears' wedding to be delayed due to lawsuit

Britney is being sued by her ex-manager for breach of contract.

Britney Spears’ wedding to Jason Trawick will be postponed until later this year because her lawyers want to first settle the lawsuit her ex-manager Sam Lutfi has filed against the singer and her parents.

Radar Online report a trial will take on September 11, 2012 and is expected to last around 12 days.

Sam worked as the ‘Hold It Against Me’ hitmaker’s manager at the time of her very public meltdowns, and is suing her for breach of contract and her parents for libel and defamation.

A source close to the situation revealed: "Lawyers for Britney's conservatorship have been successful in keeping her from being deposed in the Lutfi litigation.

“She could get married under the conservatorship, but the judge would have to sign off on it. If that were to happen, lawyers repping Lutfi would absolutely go into court and argue that if Britney were able to get married, she should be able to be deposed. There is no way Team Spears is going to let that happen.”

“The wedding will most likely be a very low key affair, and could take place in Britney's hometown in Louisiana, at her mansion in Kentwood.

“Jason is fully embracing having the wedding in Louisiana. Britney has hired a wedding planner and is letting the pro handle all the details. Unless a settlement is reached with Lutfi before the trial date, the wedding will take place after the lawsuit is resolved. Britney and Jason aren't in a rush to get married, they are enjoying being engaged....Britney already feels like she is married to him, and trusts him.”

Britney Spears And Fergie Both Eyeing An X Factor Judging Gig

Britney Spears and Fergie are allegedly going head-to-head! They might be facing off in a bid to join The X Factor, rather than competing in some kind of fabulous Beyond The Thunderdome dance-off like we’d prefer, but still! We’ll take it. Us Weekly reports that the Black Eyed Peas chanteuse and the Criminal singer are both vying for a spot at the judges

table alongside Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid. Does that mean Beyonce won’t be getting $500 million to join the panel? Or is Simon just going to take out a personal loan from the World Bank to hire all of the divas? Honestly, it would not surprise us.

Our two cents? Fergie and Britney Spears would both be excellent judges; combined, they have about 50 years of show business experience. If other rumored candidates like Janet Jackson or Bey join the judging panel, however, we’re going to have to go with Fergie. We need someone to balance out those sweethearts, and we can tell there would be a little more bite in Fergie Ferg’s comments. Or at least more backflips. Which is basically the same thing.
