Janet-Jackson-in-NutriSystem-Ad

Janet Jackson is showing off her new Nutrisystem body to America in an effort to continue promoting the weight loss system. The new commercial features the "after" results of Janet's adherence to the diet, which consists of pre-packaged meals and fresh foods added in by its followers.

The campaign, which began late last year, featured Janet admitting that she'd failed at maintaining her famous figure. At the time she claimed that Nutrisystem helped keep her on track to losing ten pounds so far and would help her lose the rest. Now, many months later, she's noticeably thinner and is, of course, crediting the

plan for her progress. From USA Today:

"I'm not viewing this as a diet," she told USA Today's Nanci Hellmich at the time. "I'm not putting a number on it. I don't look at the scale. I'm going about it in a different way this time." She doesn't need to lose "a great amount," she said, adding that she would stop "when I feel good about it."

Janet Jackson rejects The X Factor USA

It has been reported that Janet Jackson has taken herself out of the running for a place at the judges table in the second series of The X Factor USA. The show is currently in search of two new female judges, following the departure of Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul, however Janet claims that it is simply not possible for her to be a judge on the show at this time.
Jackson explained, "[I’m] very flattered that X Factor let me know that I was being considered for next season, but it just wouldn't be possible" A statement from the representatives of Janet Jackson claim that there has been no real contact between her and anybody involved with The X Factor USA.

The statement said, "There have been absolutely no meetings between Janet and anyone with regard to X Factor." It was recently claimed that Britney Spears would be interested in becoming one of the new judges on The X Factor USA and Louis Walsh, who is a judge on the UK version of the show, confirmed that Simon Cowell is currently in talks with the Hit Me Baby (One More Time) singer.

Janet Jackson Offers Bobbi Kristina Advice About Whitney Houston’s Passing

Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson were both wildly famous African-American pop stars who died under tragic circumstances. It was only a matter of time before someone made the comparison. That the person comparing them happens to be Janet Jackson is somewhat of a

surprise; that her advice for Whitney’s daughter Bobbi Kristina will make you cry is not. “You have to come to terms at some point. You have to actually give it up to God,” Jackson tells Anderson Cooper during an Anderson interview set to air Monday. “It sounds so mean, but you have to move on. You can’t hold onto that because it can be very devastating.” No, mean isn’t the word for it, Janet. “Devastating,” maybe? “Sob-inducing”?

Bobbi Kristina allegedly had a “nervous breakdown” following her mother’s death on Saturday, getting admitted to the hospital twice before returning to the care of father Bobby Brown for recuperation. In her interview, Janet Jackson takes great pains to explain why Whitney Houston‘s death might feel significantly different than MJ’s passing. “I lost my brother, she lost her mother. There’s a difference. I don’t know what that’s like being so young,” Jackson admits, finally concluding, “There’s never a day, not one day has gone by where I don’t think about my brother.” Oh, yup, we were right. Bring on the slow, steady weeping!
