Jennifer Lopez Confirms She's Leaving 'American Idol'

Jennifer Lopez will not be returning to the judge's panel of American Idol. The 42-year-old singer, actress and designer confirmed the news to Idol host Ryan Seacrest Friday morning during a call to his On Air With Ryan Seacrest radio show.

"I really have been torn," said Lopez, who has been juggling her music, film and Idol duties with motherhood to twins Emme and Max, 4.

"When I signed on to Idol [in 2010], I signed on to do one year. I wound up doing two years because I fell in love with the show," she told Seacrest in a tearful voice. "I didn't know I would be so moved emotionally . . . it was just such a lovely surprise in my life to do it."

Lopez, in the midst of a tour with Enrique Iglesias, added: It gets more complicated as the kids get a little bigger. Somethng had to give. Something had to give. I really was dreading this phone call with you!"

Continued the star: "You're gonna make me cry. The time has come."

Lopez's official departure comes just one day after Steven Tyler also confirmed his exit from the FOX smash. "After some long…hard…thoughts…I've decided it’s time for me to let go of my mistress 'American Idol' before she boils my rabbit . . .I strayed from my first love, AEROSMITH, and I'm back," the 64-year-old rocker said in a statement.

Indeed, the judges' table may end up being all-new faces -- as an insider told Us Weekly that Randy Jackson may be transitioning from the judges' table to a mentoring role.

 Waiting in the wings? Mariah Carey. "They are in serious talks with Mariah and it's very close to being a done deal," the source says. "And they will move Randy into a more mentoring role."

Jennifer Lopez Leaving 'American Idol'

Jennifer Lopez is officially leaving "American Idol." The performer announced her exit on Friday morning on "On Air with Ryan Seacrest."

"I'm telling the absolute truth in that I really have been torn" she told Seacrest. "It all kind of worked together for a while, but it just gets more complicated ... And something has to give and that's, I think, where I am right now.

"You don't want to shut the door completely," she continued. "But you know the time has come."

Lopez's departure doesn't come as much of a surprise. She teased her exit on "Today" on Thursday. "I've enjoyed it so much, but I am thinking it's maybe time for me to go and do other things I really love to do like films ... and performing," she said. "I know everybody wants that definite ‘yes’ or ‘no,’ and ... all I can let you in on is my own thought process with it, because that’s where I truly am."

Lopez isn't the only judge leaving the Fox series. Steven Tyler, who has been on the judges panel for two years, announced his departure on Thursday.

"I can't even imagine anyone else there right now because I've just spent two years sitting next to him," Lopez told the Associated Press on Thursday when she received the news. "I love Steven, and we became close during that time. We were a great support for each other, on an adventure that neither one of us knew what it was going to be. So it's hard to hear that he won't be doing it."

Lopez and Smart also invited some family members to join in the fun during their rare time off from their current world tour.

Jennifer performed for thousands in Recife the following day before flying back to the USA to tend to her Stateside to-do list.

Jennifer Lopez was spotted having a little fun in the sun on the beach in Rio de Janeiro.

The beautiful pop sensation looked sexy in a white bikini and cover up as she and boyfriend Casper Smart dutifully entertained her adorable twins, Max and Emme.

Today, Epic Records announced that the 42 year-old songstress will be releasing a greatest hits package titled “Dance Again…the Hits”.

Set to debut on July 24, the new package will include hits such as “Waiting for Tonight” and “Love Don’t Cost a Thing”, as well as two of her newer jams, “Goin’ In” and “Dance Again.” Aside from the standard edition, the deluxe edition will also include bonus tracks and a DVD with music videos.

Casper Smart Accused of Being G*y

Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart were spotted at the airport in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil with the singer’s children Emma and Max.

The group was attending a music festival in the Brazilian town and the 42-year-old’s fans went wild as they

saw her enter the terminal. Miss Lopez took to Twitter after her landing sharing, “Just arrived in beautiful Sao Paulo. What's up with the traffic? @kelly_clarkson @parishilton are ready to party tomorrow #PopMusicFestival”

Unfortunately, some nasty rumors are spreading about the “On the Floor” singer’s boyfriend and backup singer.

A fellow Hollywood backup dancer has been tweeting gossip that Smart is a closeted homosexual sharing a silly photo with the caption, “"Check out Ur boy… And his low key homo ways,” and “I know what I know, Not love, a lot of business and public relations."

Sounds like someone is a bit jealous of the relationship.

Smart's rep was quick to set the gay rumors straight, telling RadarOnline.com: "Casper is not gay. These comments are born from envy and jealousy."

Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart have been dating for six months now, so it’s only fair that the singer gives him a promotion.

Us Weekly report at a press conference Monday to announce her upcoming world tour with Enrique Iglesias and Wisin Y Yandel, the ‘Get On The Floor’ hitmaker, 42, announced her boyfriend of six months Casper Smart will play an integral role in putting the show together.

The pop superstar revealed: "I'm working with [choreographer] Jamie King, and also Casper Smart.

"It's going to be an amazing, amazing show."

Jennifer promised that it will be "one of the most historic tours ever. There's never been something like this, where Latinos come together like this. It's international -- English and Spanish. I just think it's very groundbreaking. I was honored to be asked to be a part of it."

Things are getting serious between Jennifer and her beau - that it is no surprise she promoted him.

A source said: "She's telling friends she wants to marry Casper.

"She's certain she wants to be with Casper forever."

Enrique Iglesias and Jennifer Lopez to tour together

Enrique Iglesias and Jennifer Lopez are touring together this summer.



The singers will co-headline a world tour - expected to include more than 60 dates - set to kick off in Venezuela, South America, this June.



Dates are also being lined up in the United States, Europe and Asia, although these have yet to be confirmed.



The tour will be Jennifer's first full world tour, and she is gearing up for a spectacular stage show.



A source told Celebuzz.com: "Jennifer and her team have blocked out more than a month of their schedules, beginning May 4, to start intense rehearsals, each day, at a sound stage in the Los Angeles area.



"This will be a huge tour, complete with a lavish set, full band and team of dancers."



'Hero' singer Enrique was announced as the support act for Britney Spears' world tour last year, but withdrew just hours after the announcement was made. At the time he apologised for the "confusion," but it was rumoured he was not happy that he would be the support act, rather than having equal billing.



The source said Jennifer "is very excited about Enrique joining the tour."



It is expected the pair will duet on their recent track 'Mouth 2 Mouth' from Enrique's 'Euphoria' album during the tour.

According to music insiders she will make the eagerly- anticipated announcement on Monday.

She is already working on her Greatest Hits album so will promote that with dates in North and South America, Europe and Asia.

The singer – who released new single ‘Dance Again’ in the US last week – will perform over 60 dates across the globe.

Marc Anthony Files for Divorce from Jennifer Lopez

Nine months after announcing their separation, Marc Anthony is ready to make the split legal by filing for divorce from Jennifer Lopez.

According to TMZ, the famous salsa artist blames "irreconcilable differences" as the reason in the divorce papers - which were filed on Monday (April 9) at the Los Angeles County Superior Court.

Having a few strict requests within the documents, Marc has asked for joint legal custody - as well as joint physical custody - of he and Jennifer's 4-year-old twins, Emme and Max, and, in addition to sharing the children, he's asking the judge to deny any spousal support requests Jennifer may make.

On top of this, Marc is asking that each party be responsible for their own attorney fees and, although a specific date of the separation is not made clear in the documents, the split marks JLo's third divorce while it will soon be Marc's second.

The couple has continued to work together on their reality competition show, "Q'Viva!," despite the split and Marc recently told the AP, "I know it's shocking to people and I hear that a lot, It's more shocking to me that it's shocking to people."

However shocking it may be, they clearly don't have a problem working together because the program is set to return, as Marc confirms, "Absolutely. We're in the middle of setting it up now, this is a passion project. … I'm looking forward to doing it again. It's bigger than all of us. It's a movement."

Jennifer Lopez wore A $2.1 Million Ring On ‘American Idol’

On Wednesday’s episode of American Idol, Jennifer Lopez wore a yellow-diamond ring by Cora jewelers,that comes with a $2.1 million price tag!

The 50.40-carat bauble, set in 18-karat yellow gold and ebony wood, will soon be available for purchase on the jeweler’s site. The gem itself came from Africa; after it was found it was flown to New York where experts carefully sculpted and polished the diamond, preparing it for certification from the Gemological Institute of America.

According to Cora, colored diamonds are quite rare, especially in such a large size. So once the stone was perfected, jewelers chose to mount it on ebony, something that was “also from nature,” just like the gem.
