Usher's Stepson Kyle Glover Dies at 11 years old

Usher's 11-year-old stepson, Kile Glover, died Saturday morning after he was taken off life support, TMZ reports. Doctors determined he would not recover from the injuries he suffered after a July 8 jet ski accident 

According to TMZ, Glover's mother, Usher's ex-wife Tameka Foster, struggled greatly with the decision to take her son off life support. On Friday, Foster tweeted a photo of son and made his smiling face her profile image.

Glover was reportedly declared brain dead after he was struck in the head by a jet ski while riding an inner tube on Lake Lanier, in Atlanta, GA. According to ABC News, 38-year-old Jeffrey S. Hubbard, a friend of the family, was operating the jet ski at the time of the collision and is currently under investigation.

Foster's son was riding with an unidentified 15-year-old girl at the time of the accident. Both were airlifted to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston, and Glover reportedly registered no brain activity. The second victim is said to have suffered a broken arm and cut on her head.

At the time of the accident, Usher (real name: Usher Terry Raymond IV), 33, and Foster, who divorced in 2009 after two years of marriage, were engaged in a heated custody battle over their sons Usher Raymond V, 4, and Naviyd, 3. However, the former couple put their differences aside to support each other during the very difficult time.

"Tameka and Usher don't get along, but in this circumstance Usher is coming to her side," a source told Us. "Usher practically raised Kile as his own. He's known him for seven years. It is so sad what happened."

Another source recently told Us, "He grew close to Kile and, of course, that has nothing to do with the situation with Tameka. He loved Kile. This is a terrible, awful tragedy. Usher is torn up."

Usher 'Torn Up' Over Stepson Accident, Family Friend Could Be To Blame

A family friend is under investigation and could be to blame for a jet ski accident which left Usher's 11-year-old stepson brain dead, officials revealed Monday (July 9).

The "Scream" singer's stepson, Kyle Grover, is the son of his ex-wife Tameka Foster and according to The Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Kyle was floating on an inner tube with a 15-year-old girl by a pontoon boat on Georgia's Lake Lanier when 38-year-old family friend Jeffrey S. Hubbard ran over both of them.

TMZ reports that at the time of the incident Usher allegedly arranged for for Grover to be flown to the hospital by chartering a plane and a source tells US Weekly that Usher is having a hard time dealing with the tragic accident, "He grew close to Kyle and, of course, that has nothing to do with the situation with Tameka. He loved Kyle. This is a terrible, awful tragedy. Usher is torn up."

Usher's 11-year-old stepson is still in critical condition at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and according to TMZ he has no brain activity since being admitted while the CBS Atlanta affiliate WGCL-TV says the boy's 15-year-old friend suffered a broken arm and cut on her head.

Although no charges have been filed against Hubbard, Police say charges are pending and confirmed alcohol was not a factor and they don't believe the watercraft malfunctioned.

Usher has two children with Tameka Foster whom he split with in 2009: Usher V, 4, and Naviyd, 3.

some rope bondage and having her mark left on him literally. A shirtless Rick Ross and his infamous mammary glands are paraded around for the entire world to see (and puke). The only thing on him missing was a bloody bra.  The creative inadequacies in this video was merely the appetiser. Where was the main meal eh? In the same week, Usher dropped the visual for his dance/pop single ‘Scream’. His promotion has been pretty decent, so the fact that he’s predicted to sell less than 150k is pretty daunting. Hopefully, sales pick up as the week goes by.

Usher’s Ex-Wife Wanted to ‘F*ck Him Up’

Usher’s ex-wife Tameka Foster claimed in court recently that she never threatened to kill the R&B singer, and that she only threatened to “f**k him up.”

The ex couple are currently involved in a custody battle over their sons, and Usher’s attorney questioned Foster about alleged threatening behavior, in which she said that she may have threatened the singer, according to TaleTela.com.

“I did probably, out of anger, say ‘I will f**k you up,’” Foster replied to the attorney. Foster has also claimed throughout the custody battle that Usher is a dead-beat dad who uses drugs.

Foster is a stylist, and she and Usher were married in August 2007. They have two sons together, Usher Raymond V and Naviyd Ely Raymond, and Usher filed for divorce in June 2009. At that time the singer claimed that the two had live separately for nearly a year.

Usher is getting ready to release his next album, Looking For Myself, on June 12. A single from the album, “Climax,” was released earlier this year, and was produced by Diplo. On the album, Usher also worked with Salaam Remi, Rico Love, Jim Jonsin and Max Martin, among others.

The “Yeah!” crooner co-wrote the track with Savan Kotecha, and “Scream” will appear on Usher’s new album Looking for Myself when it hits stores Stateside on June 12th.

Meanwhile, NBC’s “Today” show just announced that they’ve tapped Usher to kick off their Toyota Summer Concert Series at Rockefeller Plaza.
