Beyonce 'Nails' Showing Off Her Love for Jay Z

Beyonce Knowles took it one step closer by bedazzling her nails with portraits of her and husband Jay-Z.

The "Crazy in Love" singer recently posted a photo on her personal Tumblr page showing off her new style.

Bejeweled nails with the letters J and Z surrounded tiny faces of the hip-hop power couple with gold studs encircling each portrait.

In other B news, the 30-year-old mom will take part in August 19th's World Humanitarian Day. She'll contribute a music video for her song "I Was Here," which will be filmed in the U.N. General Assembly Hall in New York.

The sexy supporter released a statement saying, "We all see the headlines and we think what can I really do to help? World Humanitarian Day is an opportunity for all of us to work together to make a difference. This is our time to leave our mark on the world and show that we were here and we care."

Jay-Z and partners being sued for $7 million

Clothing designer Dwayne Walker claims in a lawsuit that he is owed money by the '99 Problems' hitmaker and his former Roc-A-Fella record label in unpaid royalties after designing their logo, which features a letter "R" over a vinyl disc and a champagne bottle.

The documents – which were filed in Manhattan Federal Court, New York, yesterday- state: "The logo has become universally recognised as an iconic symbol of Jay-Z, one of the most successful recording artists in the history of popular music."

Dwayne claims to have devised the logo in 1995, when Jay and his former business partners Damon Dash and Kareem 'Biggs' Burke founded the record company, which is now a subsidiary of the Universal Music Group.

Last month, the 42-year-old rapper – who is married to singer Beyonce Knowles – was sued for plagiarism by author Patrick White, who alleges Jay stole portions of his writing and then used them for his own memoir, 'Decoded'.

In the lawsuit, Patrick claims: "In 2009, my personal computer was compromised, resulting in my personal work to be used in Jay-Z’s book ‘Decoded’ which was released in 2010.

"The book contains various expressions/colors/phrases which correlates to my work. After contacting or attempting to contact the co-author, I got no reply.”

Rihanna reunited with her mentor Jay-Z last night at Radio 1′s Hackney Weekend. The pair opened Jay-Z’s smashing headlining set with ‘Run This Town’. Jay-Z may have the face of somebody’s Grandpa (well, my mum was HIS age when she became a Grandmother), and he may still dress like he’s still 20, but he showed

the entire world just why he is thee legendary rapper. Jiggaman did his thang with levels of swag through the roof. Rihanna’s vocals have improved but she still cant hit all the right notes. Granted, it was not her best vocal but she looked hot and pulled it off.

Rapper M.I.A comes on and her mic screws up a bit, but she still delivered a blast and boy, wasn’t Beyonce enjoying it? Then Kanye West shows up, and they do the ‘Watch The Throne’ tour set essentially for free. Concertgoers that paid must be pissed, but Beyonce stanning for her man was really cute to me. She was wilding out, and even participated in a mosh pit at the end!

Jay-Z gives Rihanna ultimatum: Go to rehab or be dropped

The rapper has allegedly told the singer to get help with her partying or he will be forced to cut her from his label.

Jay-Z has apparently given Rihanna an ultimatum – go into rehab or get off my record label. 

The rapper is said to have grown tired of Rihanna’s constant partying, which has seen her out until early hours before concerts, visiting strip clubs and being hospitalised for exhaustion. 

The singer has allegedly been warned that she will be dropped from the label if she does not seek help to calm herself down. 

A source told Closer Magazine, “Rihanna has been out of control for months. She was supposed to catch a flight back to the UK last week, but she ended up missing it, which was the final straw for management.

“Jay-Z hit the roof when he found out, and told Rihanna, 'Go to rehab now or I'll drop you from the label.' She's not happy, but she now feels she has no choice.”

The singer tweeted that she had been given the day off to recover recently, but the source went on to say that she requires much more than just a day. 

“She's reached breaking point. Ri says she's physically and mentally exhausted and feeling lost. I think she desperately needs help and some time off - not just from work but from all the other stresses in her life too.”

They were referring to her stress and upset over her grandmother’s cancer battle.

Jada and Will Smith want to give their kids space so they can grow as individuals, and not just within Hollywood– so it’s only fair for them to let their kids step away from the limelight as they please. That’s

what Willow wanted not too long ago, to focus on studying ballet. Now she’s getting back into gear with acting (on the “Annie” remake) and her music under the Roc Nation label.

Jada has always been the protector and great voice for her children in interviews and she explained recently about where Willow is with her music and that they just might collaborate together sometime in the future. The best part of it all for Jada is to see how her mentor, Jay-Z really supports his artists, including her daughter.

“She definitely wants to put an album out, but we’re trying to give her space to grow as an artist. Which is another reason why I adore Jay-Z, because he really understands that process. He’s so artist friendly, and he has so much love and respect for Willow. And he’s doing such a fantastic job being in partnership with us, in regards to her career and really helping her develop as an artist.”

On a hopeful collabo for the mother/daughter duo:”My music is like my freedom space. But Willow and I definitely talked about doing a collaboration. She really loves rock music, so she wants to come on and get crazy with me on a track. Which I would love, because she has a fantastic voice.”

Kanye West and Jay-Z released their newest music video for the single “No Church in the Wild”.

The intense video is directed by Romain Gavras and although the rappers never appear in the clip, their voices narrate the violent scenes that suggest an apocalyptic meltdown between police and rebels.

In other news, their producer Mike Dean has confirmed that there will be a “Watch the Throne 2” album from the two rappers.

"I'm working on the G.O.O.D. Music album, of course," said Dean, "and Watch The Throne 2 – it's not started yet, but it's coming."

Jay-Z Presents (From Marcy To Barclays) Rocawear Commercial

It's a familiar story to Jay-Z fans, and Rocawear is bringing the rapper's rise from Brooklyn's Marcy Projects to big business to the small screen in a new commercial.

The spot (which debuted today on his website, Life and Times and is aptly titled "From Marcy to Barclays") features a montage of on-the-street shots of New York cut against footage of Jay-Z putting on jewelry and shadowboxing his reflection in a mirror.

"Wherever you grow up, that's your root, right?" Jay asks. "My goal was to have one gold album, and that was it, and then it became, 'I want to show that artists can extend to the executive ranks.'"

After a huge arena tour with Kanye West, Jay-Z celebrated the birth of his daughter and performed at SXSW. The show was livestreamed by American Express on YouTube. This weekend, the rapper was spotted catching a March Madness game at Kentucky's Superdome.

And on the business side of things? Though Rocawear has fallen on tough times (the label laid off half of its employees), Jay's not to be defeated.

Hov recently reopened the 40/40 Club in New York after an extensive renovation. Forbes estimates that he'll make back the $10 million he put into the arena in a quick year (see the update at the bottom of this article).

Beyonce and Jay-Z warn Rihanna she can't visit Blue if she's seeing Chris

The couple are not fans of her ex-boyfriend after he left her battered and bruised in 2009.



Bajan singer Rihanna has had to take a lot of criticism after reports emerged that she's been getting close to ex Chris Brown following their sexually charged Birthday Cake collaboration.



Now magazine report Jay-Z and Beyoncé Knowles are so against the star spending time with Chris that they have given her a shock ultimatum: “Stay away from Chris or you can't see baby Blue!”

Jay-Z's not only Rihanna's mentor, he's also like an older brother.

His friend revealed: “He got Beyoncé to tell Rihanna he doesn't want her around the baby if she takes Chris back.

“He wants Blue to have positive role models, not someone who'd take back a man who hit her.”

The ‘We Found Love’ hitmaker has been growing close to Chris, 22, over the past year since her restraining order against him was lifted.

Nicki Minaj gunning for Jay-Z

Rapper Nicki Minaj has revealed how she aims to become the top dog on the rap scene and has joked that she is gunning for current rap superstar Jay-Z. Nicki claims, in an interview with Allure, that she has never been just about the music and has always looked at her career as a business.



Minaj explained, "I never thought about music as just being the end-all, be-all. I always looked at it like a business, something that I could create an empire out of. So that's why I'm only about to put out my second album and I'm already thinking about this.” She then claimed that she has informed Jay-Z that she is gunning for him.

Nicki added, "I had a little conversation with Jay-Z at the Victoria's Secret fashion show. He said, 'Congratulations on all your success.' And I was like, 'Yeah, I'm coming for you. I'm coming for your spot, Mr. Mogul'."



Nicki Minaj was recently praised by former X Factor star Cher Lloyd as being the only female rapper who is really relevant right now. Nicki Minaj is set to release Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded on April 2 in the UK and April 3 in the US.

Jay-Z and Kanye West Settle Copyright Infringement Lawsuit

After teaming up to put an album together, rappers Kanye West and Jay-Z ended up having to settle a federal lawsuit over one of their songs.



The duo's track titled "The Joy" wound up getting the pair sued by Sly Johnson for using a sample of his hit "Different Strokes" in their song.

Kanye supposedly tried to get permission to use the sample on his album "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy," but couldn't go about it the legal way in time. Then, when it showed up on Kanye and Jay-z's album "Watch The Throne", Johnson took notice and proceeded forth with legal action.

Now, after a period of negotiations, TMZ is reporting that the lawsuit has just been dismissed thanks to the two sides reaching a settlement for an undisclosed amount of cash.

Jay-Z Isn't Happy About Rihanna and Chris Brown

As headlines splashed the latest news that Rihanna and Chris Brown are making duets and also hooking up, her mentor, Jay-Z, has something to say about it.




A source told RadarOnline, "Jay was absolutely disgusted by what Chris did to Rihanna. Jay doesn't understand how a man could ever lay hands on a woman; it just goes against who he is and who he is about. Chris is absolutely dead to Jay, he wants nothing to do with him ever. Now that Rihanna is hooking up with Chris and recording songs with him, Jay is deeply disappointed in her actions. He can't fathom why Rihanna is doing the things she is doing."



Plus, it sounds like the mogul gets forgiveness but not the forget part. "He understands the need for forgiveness, but he is adamant that Rihanna shouldn't forget what Chris did to her. Jay wonders what kind of message this is sending to Rihanna's young female fans. Rihanna knows how Jay feels about Chris but she doesn't care, she is going to do what she wants."



Perhaps Jay-Z feels even more strongly about this now that he's a proud parent with Beyoncé to their new bundle of joy, Blue Ivy. "He is even more protective of the women in his life. Jay has told Rihanna he will never give his blessing for what she is doing with Chris. He has told her, this isn't going to end well, it never does. In Jay's opinion, Chris has rage issues that he doesn't think have been dealt with."

Beyonce and Jay-Z have shared first photos of newborn

Beyonce and Jay-Z have shared the first pictures of their one-month-old daughter Blue Ivy Carter with fans on Tumblr.

Shunning magazine deals, the proud parents posted several images of the infant, including shots of her cuddling up to mummy and daddy.

Until now the couple have remained tight-lipped about their daughter.

Beyonce and Jay-Z's delight in their new roles is obvious in the intimate snaps, with Beyonce beaming at the camera in one shot and another pic showing her holding her daughter's tiny fingers.

In one shot, the youngster is seen cosied up in a blanket, her mass of dark hair visible, while another shows her staring straight at the camera, suggesting she may follow in her parents' showbiz footsteps.

In a post at the top of the blog, Beyonce and Jay-Z wrote: 'We welcome you to share in our joy. Thank you for respecting our privacy during this beautiful time in our lives. The Carter Family.'

Blue Ivy was born last month and Beyonce is relishing the role of yummy mummy. After several weeks lying low she has been spotted out and about looking glam in a series of stunning dresses over the past week, showing she has already got her enviable figure back.
