Katy Perry: One Direction are cute but illegal

The singer talked about the boyband, her love of British artists and future film roles.

Katy Perry has revealed that, like so many others, she has soft spot for the boys of One Direction after they tweeted how much they enjoyed her new film, Part of Me. 

The Californian singer commented, “They went and just saw the movie and tweeted some really nice things about it. They are very cute boys but very illegal for me."

Perry went on to reveal that after so many collaborations with US stars, she is up for a few British stars joining her in the studio some day. 

I'm such a fan of Marina And The Diamonds and her new record," she said.

"I love English music. I love Morrissey and I think some incredible artists come from a little rainy place called England."

Perry, who’s Part of Me is out now, added that she would also like more movie roles in the future. She is soon to reprise her vocal role of Smurfette in the sequel to The Smurfs, but would happily consider any other offers to come her way.

“I think maybe if it's right for me in the future and it does something great, then maybe I will be associated with it.”

Katy Perry can be seen in her brand new music video for the single "Wide Awake".

Put together especially for her upcoming 3D movie "Katy Perry: Part Of Me", the new offering boasts a fairy tale theme while being the last video from "Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection".

Talking with MTV about the track, Miss Perry recently said, "I just wanted to tell a story about myself going through this journey, maybe sometimes trying to get out of the maze."

The 27-year-old added, "There's good parts; there's bad parts. Of course, there has been a lot of things that went on last year that I had to get through and overcome. I think what probably kept me going is just the purity of my belief in music."

Katy Perry's date nights with Rob Ackroyd

Katy Perry has rekindled her romance with Rob Ackroyd.

The 'One That Got Away' hitmaker briefly dated the Florence + the Machine guitarist after meeting at Coachella Music Festival in April and although they split last month, the pair were spotted having a romantic meal together at a London pub.

Onlookers who saw them at The Dove in Hackney, east London, told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Katy didn't seem to care that they weren't in a fancy, expensive restaurant.

"She was giggly and happy with Rob and some friends, and she even sneakily held his hand under the table.

"She was saying she was excited to be back in London. She was saying how much she loves it here."

Last night (07.06.12), the pair enjoyed another date after Rob accompanied Katy to ITV studios where she was filming the Graham Norton's talk show.

They left the studios together to go to Wilton's Bar in east London and then to the Market Café in Hackney for some food.

Katy previously told friends that Rob had made her feel "sexy and alive" again following her split from husband Russell Brand in December after 14 months of marriage.

A source said: "Rob was the first guy Katy had been with since splitting from Russell.

"She was still extremely fragile but had told pals their two weekends at Coachella together made her feel 'sexy and alive' again.

"Even when Rob left to continue touring America with Florence they would speak on the phone up to three times a day and she'd be constantly texting him."

Katy's divorce from Russell is set to be finalised in July.

Katy Perry wants to have s*x with Rihanna.

The 'Firework' singer - who split from husband Russell Brand in November - was asked if she would ever collaborate with her close friend and though she ruled out working on a record with the star, she joked that they would do something more intimate instead.

She joked to US radio station Wild 94.9: "No, but we're going to have s*x."

Katy was also asked if she listens to her own music when she is having s*x and said it would be "over the line".

She said: "I'm not a narcissist! OK, I'm a narcissist, but that would be over the line.

"Having s*x to your own song, that's horrible. I'm a good Christian girl."

The raunchy conversation continued with Katy questioned on whether she has ever had a threesome but the star would only say "no comment".

Despite her jokes, Katy has previously confirmed she will collaborate on a song with Rihanna but wants to make sure it is "iconic".

She said:  "It's one of those things that's got so much build up that we have to deliver...I definitely want to do something that is so iconic.

"We're both busy but we planted the seed two years ago. How disappointed would you be if that song came out and it's no good?"

Katy Perry knows what she's doing, that's for sure. On the heels of releasing her single "Part of Me" at the Grammy Awards, the "California Gurl" singer released "Wide Awake" at last night's 2012 Billboard Awards.

If you're thinking the song sounds a little like a big ol' adios to her ex-husband Russell Brand, then you may be right! The lyrics are: "I wish I knew then what I know now/Wouldn't dive in, wouldn't bow down/Gravity hurts/You made it so sweet 'til I woke up on the concrete." Ouch!

According to Celebuzz, during a recent interview Katy talked about her personal songs and getting her feelings out there instead of keeping them bottled up inside. “Well, there were two songs that I had from "Teenage Dream" that I couldn’t put on, it was ‘Part of Me’ and ‘Dressing Up.’ And then I knew we were doing the re-release and so I was like, ‘I got to get in the studio,’ because I can’t wait eight months to be able to put out this feeling that I’m feeling right now, ’cause God knows it would take eight months to do another record. I couldn’t do it on the fly, to set up records it takes time.”

Katy Perry signs 'movie' promo deal with Pepsi

Katy Perry has agreed a deal with Pepsi to promote her concert movie.

The 'Firework' hitmaker's 'Part of Me 3D' concert film will be promoted by the soft drinks firm in a series of advertisements across radio, TV, print and online media ahead of its release on July 5.

As part of the deal, fans will be given the chance to win tickets to the world premiere of the film - which will be streamed live online by Pepsi - in Los Angeles, at which Katy will perform.

LeeAnne Stables, an executive for Paramount - who are distributing the film - said: "Pepsi is one of the world's leading brands, and this integrated partnership provides an incredible platform for us to build fan anticipation to see this exciting glimpse into Katy's world when the movie comes to theatres this summer."

As well as chronicling Katy's 2010 and 2011 'California Dreams' tour, the movie also features a series of backstage clips and sees the star speak candidly on a range of subjects, including her religious upbringing and her struggle to find success.

A teaser trailer for the film also included glimpses of newspaper headlines detailing her split from husband Russell Brand in December.

Katy Perry's rumoured new boyfriend says she is the perfect woman.

The 'Part of Me' singer has recently been romantically linked to model Bapitiste Giabiconi following her split from estranged husband Russell Brand and the handsome Frenchman admits he's smitten with her.

He said: "I think the world of Katy. Not only is she beautiful, but she's also extremely intelligent and super-talented. I have always had a big crush on Katy. She is an amazing girl. She is everything a man would want."

Despite the speculation, Bapitiste insists he and Katy are not an item at the moment because they're both too busy with work.

He told Britain's Grazia magazine: "We're just friends. But right now, my focus is on my album and my career."

While Katy is yet to confirm being romantically involved with anyone else, Russell is currently dating Nikolett Barabas and she recently praised him.

Nikolett said: "He's amazing, so funny, he's beautiful. I like being with him; he's amazing, so amazing. He's a good person."

Russell and Katy announced their split in Decemebr after just 14 months of marriage and their divorce is set to be finalised in June.

Katy Perry has released the trailer for her 3D movie titled "Katy Perry: Part of Me".

The documentary style cinema offering is modeled after Justin Bieber's "Never Say Never," as the material is comprised of video footage collected during the "Firework" tour, along with photos and family clips from before her rise to stardom.

Revealing that her singing days first started in the church choir, Katy tells in the trailer, "The atmosphere I grew up in was 100 percent church. I started singing and I never really had another plan."

With the full "Part Of Me" 3D film set to hit theaters on Fourth of July weekend, Miss Perry adds, “If you’ve got a dream, you have to go on a journey to fulfill that dream."

Fresh off of a performance at Saturday night's Kids' Choice Awards, Katy Perry has followed up the appearance by treating her fans to a newly released lyric video.

The eye-popping visual offering is the companion for the 27-year-old's single "Dressin' Up," which is a part of "Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection".

Among the flirtatious lyrics comprised in the track, Miss Perry can be heard cooing, "Be a good boy, and I'll show you the rest. Librarian, dominatrix/ Oh boy, tell me your fantasy/ Tonight's the night. Tonight I'm gonna come alive/ Make you forget about your nine-to-five."

Katy Perry to tell all as Russell Brand moves to India

eenage Dream singer Katy Perry has reveal that she is planning to release a book that will tell everything that has happened in the past year of her life. Katy admits that the past year has been quite a big one and it is expected that her book will feature the breakdown of her marriage to Russell Brand.

Perry explained, "It would cover all of last year, which was the most intense year I think of my life. You'll appreciate this film because I feel like if you know everything about me, which you do kinda, you'll know even more. It's basically like being in bed with me.”

Meanwhile, it has been reported that Katy Perry’s ex husband Russell Brand has decided to up sticks and move to India, where he is planning to spend a large part of the year. A friend claims that Russell has become very involved in yoga and meditation and thinks India is the perfect place to be.

The friend explained, “He's looking for a large estate. Since his split from Katy, he's become obsessed with yoga and meditation. He wants to have somewhere in India that can be a complete haven.”

In the clip, Katy gets back at a cheating ex by trading in her blue wig for a butch short hairdo and gets militant over the break-up… Literally! While I like the video, I couldn’t help but feel like it was a huge recruitment commercial for the Marines. Not to mention it was a bit anti-climatic towards the end… I thought it was leading up to a dramatic confrontation in the end but nope, nada! I mean, she goes through all that intense training and learns how to fire a weapon and kick some ass, the least she could have done is unleashed an ass-whoopin’ on her slime-ball ex.
